Cerbère
Since we missed our train, we decided to go on a mini adventure to the lovely town of Cerbère. It is an artists retreat and it looks like a town that was abandoned back in the 1930's. A truly gorgeous little place full of things that you would expect to find in Enid Blyton books and romantic mid-century black + white films. How pretty!
Bobby's Birthday/ We leave for Barcelona
While Bobby was having a shower for the first time while being 22, I filled our tent with balloons and lit a candle on a little birthday cake for him. Aren't I just a dote? However, unfortunately we came to realise that,
We ordered a taxi for 1pm at the tourist office, but apparently when they asked us the destination of our journey (train station) and the location of where we wanted to be picked up (tourist office) they somehow thought that we meant the tourist office next door to the train station, and not the one that would have made sense which was about a mile away.. We called the taxi rank at 1:05 to find all this out. They couldn't believe that we actually meant the tourist office about a mile away from the train station, and not the one that is situated literally in the building right next to it.. They said that they'd send a taxi to us immediately. We waited another 25minutes but one didn't come. I called loads but they kept blaming it on the traffic the Tour De France was causing.
candle flame+ballon= BIG POP + cake drop :/
